New Year’s Eve 2017 in Cape Town – The Only Place to Be
December 31, 2017
Whether you plan to go big or stay home, celebrating a Cape Town New Year’s is a great way to start your year. The Mother City is proud to present something for everyone this December 31.
The only thing chilled about these festivities is the champagne on ice. You can bop into the New Year at the following hotspots on 31 December:
Cape Point Vineyards
Noordhoek will be pumping to the tunes of ‘The Frenchman’ when the fields of this upmarket venue are transformed into the stomping grounds of steampunk enthusiasts. Dress to theme and come prepared for gourmet goodies, good vibes and great eats from the food trucks in attendance. Kick-off is at 6pm. Book early, tickets are limited.
Roast & Co
Try something new at one of the city’s most recently opened restaurants. A swish courtyard bar, farm-to-table feast and pumping jams are up for grabs from early, but the real festivities get going at 9pm. Book early, it’s going to be good.
Sit back and watch as 2018 makes its entrance at these laid-back destinations around the city.
Take a Hike at Delvera Farm
Stroll into the New Year with a family hike among the vineyards. Bring a picnic or book one from the venue and settle down to watch the sunset.
Slip out of town to Benguela Cove Lagoon, for a quiet night of starlit views over the Botrivier Lagoon and rolling hills of the estate. Live music in the background sets the scene for a relaxed meal and a glass of bubbles at midnight.
Cellars-Hohenort – The Conservatory
Gather around the oak tree for a sophisticated 4-course meal in Constantia Heights. Yellowfin sashimi tuna and West Coast oysters lead the way followed by decadent ice cream, Madeira sponge, petits-fours and profiteroles overflowing with silky mousse.
A Bit of Both
Sit back and enjoy, or take a sedate turn on the dance floor as 2018 rolls around at these excellent eateries around the city.
HQ at Heritage Square
New Year just wouldn’t be the same without a masked ball. Book now for HQs elegant incognito black tie extravaganza. Think fine food, top wines and the city’s best DJ’s in an elegant setting.
The Waterfront is famous for its spectacular fireworks at midnight. Get ringside seats at Ginja while you dine on buffet style starters, a table-served main and tasty dessert platters. Coda Africa provides the background sound and a DJ takes over at midnight or those who like to party into the wee hours.
